Wildcrafting in the Movies

I enjoyed watching this movie with wildcrafting in it, called: {Where The Lilies Bloom}. I like Harry Dean Staton in the movies I have seen him in. I en- joyed Julie Gholson in the movie and wonder why I haven't seen her in more movies. Make films with a {Edible Wild Plant Expertise} for Screen Writers, Producers and Directors.

Japanese Researchers Report

I read that drinking two or more cups of green tea helps to keep allergies symptoms at bay. I also read that soaking brown rice in water 24 hours before it is cooked can increase its concentration of vitamins, minerals, fiber and other nutrients. Rescreachers believe soaking simulates the first stages of sprouting in the rice, activating enzymes within it that supercharge its nutritional value. Note that white rice will not sprout.

Homemade Instant Oatmeal

Blend 1 cup dry oatmeal in a blender or food processor. If using a blender add a 1/4 or 1/2 cup at a time. To make single serving packets, place 2 Tblsps of oatmeal powder and 1/4 cup of oatmeal flakes in a ziplock bag. To serve place oatmeal in bowl add about 1/2 cup boiling water & stir. I place a small plate over it and let it set a little bit before eating. You can put oatmeal powder in a jar and add the flakes when you make it. Variation: add raisins, dried fruit and cinnamon and sugar to packet or when you make it. One of my dear sister-in-laws gave this recipe to me years ago. PS. Month of Dec 2009, I decided to just add a 1/3 cup of oatmeal to a small bowl and add raisins, cinnamon and hot water. I usually just put a small plate over it and let it set till the oatmeal absorbs the water. I am just using this lid so you can see the bowl. See the steam? Not sure if there is a benefit to cooking it for 5 minutes but if you are in a hurry and don't want to dirty a pan. I use a tea kettle to boil water. Oatmeal here that I am using is thick cut.

"I met God in the morning"

I met God in the Morning, When my day was . . . at it's best, And His presence came like sunrise, Like a glory in my breast. All day long His presence lingered, All day long He stayed with me, And We sailed in perfect calmness, Over a very troubled sea. Other ships were torn and battered, Other ships were sore distressed, But the winds that seemed to drive them, Brought Us to a perfect rest. Then I think of other mornings, When a keen remorse of mind, When I too . . . had loosed the moorings, With His prescence . . . left behind. So . . . I think I know the secret, Learned from many a troubled way. . . YOU must seek God in the morning . . . IF YOU WANT HIM . . . through the day! ~ Ralph Cushman ~ and {Jesus 2020}

{~*~Elin's Amerika~*~}

{Elin's Amerika by Marguerite De Angeli} is a book I bought my grandchild awhile ago, from an Antique Shop. The one I bought her was a vintage. I really enjoyed reading the story. It's nice to know that it is still available.
