Fun in the Making

I was scrolling though pages of Fun in the Making website and came to a vintage inspired apron made from a second hand dress. How to here: {Dress 2 Apron} I kept scrolling and found a childs apron made from a dress the little girl out grew. Details here: {Girls Dress 2 Apron}. {Call for Aprons}

Dish Clothes

I bought a stack of dish clothes awhile ago. I decided to put bias tape on them because I didn't want the edges to fall apart. When I used the one I had put bias tape on a few months back, it just didn't seem to pick up water to well. So I decided to add terry cloth to the others. Maybe by the time I am finished with the last one I'll sew a more straight seam. I think I will make my own bias tape though so I have more to work with. Search {One Pretty Thing} to learn how to make bias tape. I might use mesh produce bags on a cloth or two. {Video}

Dd bought some cute bluegreen bowls from Ikea and this paper was used to protect each piece from breaking in transit. I thought it would be great for use in making patterns. It is pronouced Ekea in Swedish. God Bless You and Yours!!! Cute {Paper Recycle} Book!

Fried Potato Salad

I cooked up some fried pota- toes with onions one day and decided to add salad dressing. Than I went and looked up on- line to see if there was such a thing. There was. Only I skip boiling the potatoes. I just fry cubed potatoes with chopped onion and add the fixings and dressing of choice. Here it has celery and the eggs and cilantro are for show. I think you could add eggs if you want. What ever you like in your potato salad. Knifty Knitter Cowl

I made this cowl 23 inches long using the red knifty knitter round. I like it so much better than the two other shorter in length ones that I had made. I also cut off the length of a long knit dress to shorten it up a bit. I haven't decided if I will use the leftover material to lengthen the sleeves or make a hat out of it. Link to: {Helpful Tips} at Yarn Gear for using the knifty knitting looms. The month of February is not only {African American History Month} , but did you know it was also: {DHM}? Make a simple easy {Pop-Up Card} for All Hearts Day. Link to:{Knifty Knitter Cowl with Pom Poms}. Find out the details on their blogs for a chance to win. Joyce Ann at {Feather Spirits} found a great giveaway. She posted a link to Jennifer's 200th blog entry. Jennifer is celebrating it by giving away a one year subscription to {Mother Earth News}.
