Link: {Front Porch Party Giveaway at Purple Cucumbers Folk Art} Menu: {Dandelion Fritters} {Lentil & Wild Rice Salad} I used sprou- ted lentils and brown rice in place of cooked lentils and wild rice. {Sunny Apple Salad}-{Carrot Lemonade}-{Ginger Ale}. This is as close as I could come to the recipe in a 1943 Joy of Cooking book:{Applesauce Cake} The difference is that the Joy of cooking called for 1c. nut meats or currents. 1/2 tsp. salt & 1-3/4c. flour. Sprinkle a little bit of the flour over the chopped raisins and chopped nuts b/4 adding to batter. I do not make icing either but I would for the porch party. I like to serve Italian bread with a little chopped or minced garlic in tomato sauce. I found this recipe for: {Italian Bread Dip}. A {Sheppard-less Pie} I did not make, but did make a Corn-Meal Mush Pie out of Joy of Cooking with what I had in the house. {Mom's Special Hummus} with a Vegetable Tray and {Popcorn Cookies}. Guest: All who want to stop in and have fun! Music: Mandolin, Bottles and Jugs and the sound of beautiful melodies joined in harmony as each guest arrives. Games: Croquet will be set up on the lawn, along with horse shoes. A Checker Board will be set up on the Front Porch and a deck of cards if anyone would like to play Crazy Eights.

I think hospitals need to serve patients fresh vegetable juices and play healing songs of music in the patients rooms and have a list of {healing scriptures} for people to say outloud. I also think they need to learn more about nutrition. Please {Pray 4}!

The same friend dd was shop- ping to buy a BD gift for, had mentioned she liked a poster at: {Lululemon Athletica}. We found out they were free and we both were handed one. In- stead of putting a mat inside a frame, you can use decorative paper and lay the poster on it.

The attendent told me to take some for Earth Day. I first seen flower seed bombs at {Keri Smith's Blog}, Wish Jar. The hat in the photo, I decou- paged about eight years ago, with tissue paper, cut images from wrapping paper and used mod podge to make it stick. Busy Darning Socks & Tending To Other Tasks.....

I learned how to darn socks and it is a pretty simple task. I put that piece of material in the area of the hole in one of my socks just to show you where the hole is. I am using that doll as a tool to help me darn, because I do not have the right tool. One probably could add a handle to it and turn it into a darning tool. I put on my hiking boots and blue varigated hat, already my coat is on, fill thermos with water and put it in it's carrier, swing it and camera over my shoulder, take a walk, wait for the light to turn white, purple flowers on the edge of a piece of land in the city with a no trespassing sign, passed the city bus stop, I keep walking till I reach the water flowing into a pond, bird songs over heard, blend with freeway traffic noise, Sunday early morn, might it be more of a quiet place, runs though my mind, nests in trees, bumble bees, dandelions in the grass, dried up cattails, a little island in the center, photos taken, I touch the ground to find a dry spot to sit in the sunshine, observing, listening and talking with God, What is that scent of honey in the spring air? Can you see the bird sitting on the limb to the right? What is it? It doesn't look like a robin. Please continue to: {Pray 4} God Bless and Thank You!!!

I drew this awhile ago on an envelope that I had written notes on. So I cut it out this morning to take a photo of it. I was looking at it and the heart and the swirls that look like ocean waves reminds me of how much God loves us and that if we come to Him and ask Jesus into our hearts and ask Him to forgive us of our sins, He will cast them into the deepest part of the ocean and remembers them no more.
