{~*~Academy Awards Salute~*~}

Jack Benny was on Lawerce Welk Show on PBS tonight. He made me Smile from ear to ear, just seeing and listening to him. Sigh. Memories of watching the show with my Dad and brothers. He was so funny! Made me laugh too! The show tonight was a Salute to the Academy Awards. Dinner tonight was vegartarian cabbage rolls and half avacado. So Yummy!

While in a Thrift Shop I found this book called {the Persistence of Yellow} just waiting for me to open it up. The page I am showing here is the first I randomly opened, it too. It is something I needed to read. When I went to pay for it the checker looked at it and opened it to the same page. She loved it as I do. I've since found another one in a Thrift Shop and gave it to my daughter. The Link I highlighted in yellow will take you to amazon and you can see a few more pages of the book. It was written by Monique Duval and illustrated by Joanna Abbott Moss. Each illustration is one-line. She never lifts her hand from the paper while drawing so each one is a continuous connection. 5 Stars

{~*~Modular Seating Collection~*~}

I wanted to try and create storage in my loveseat like these ones at: {Modular Seating Collection}. I didn't though, but it is nice to know that someone created these pieces. I sat on the Corner and Armless Chair in the store and like them. There is storage in each piece. I forgot to check the weight of each one though.

{~*~Gift of a Juicer~*~}

This is a Christmas gift that I really like using a lot. It keeps out the seeds. The liquid measurements are also marked on the inside.

Before I cut the lemon, I push down on it while rolling it back and forth, to get more juice out of it when its juiced. I also use a zester before I cut the lemon, to take the peel off so I can use it for other uses.

The rice salad in my favorite vintage pie plate in the photo was dressed with olive oil and fresh lemon juice. Link to:{TCU} The Juicer is from Pier 1 imports. {Links}

{~*~Table Cloth Uses~*~}

I bought this vintage table cloth for $1.49 at a Thrift Shop and sketched out some ideas for uses. I also have some other table cloths that either I bought at garage sales or they were given to me. I am going to make some grocery totes out of this one. I have some white ones that could be made into a clothing for a little girl. Dress, skirt, top, jacket & hat.
