One of the books I am reading is Rosemary Gladstar's Herbal Rec- ipes for Vibrant Health. So far really good. Check it out at your local librar- y, favorite local book- store or online book- store. I go to nature to be soothed and healed, and to have my senses put in order. ~ John Burroughs

Seed Catchers

Check out Sandi Holland's lovely: {Seed Catchers} She has them for sale in her Wink- elf Store. Jesus explained that the kingdom of God works like a seed. So, if we are to under- stand God's kingdom and how He operates, we need to un- derstand seeds.~Mark 4:30-31

Hydrogenated Oils

I was given this months ago. Dd wasn't using it anymore. I do not use it. I thought it could come in use for maybe taking sticky residue from taking labels off of jars or something. I notice it does do that. It's expiration date was June 2009. It still smells the same and no mold on it. Kind of scary isn't it, because people eat the stuff. Check this article out about:{Hydrogenated Oils} I found the link to the site while at JoyceAnn's {Herbal Spirits}blog.

Robert Sabuda

In February I made a Valentine's Day Pop-up {Heart} card. It was my second pop-up card. I made this {Ship} Pop-up card also using {Robert Sabuda's} instructions on his website. He has books for sale and if your interested in this type of art check out his web-
site. Take a close up of the two cards. I added a little twist in the water. The first card shows kind of how it is suppose to be and I decided that it needed to be a different color so I started playing with the scissors and glue. I used what I had to make the card. I messed up and the card was to small so I added a border. I glued a message at the front of the boat area. I still have a lot of practis-
ing to do. I couldn't get the deck to do what I wanted in the back so I glued it on the outside. {Creative Illustration Workshop}{Pray 4}

Set Date or Signs?

When do the seasons change? By man's set date or when nature shows signs of it? We have had flora life signs of an early spring for weeks now. I found a fitting quote to my question: Spring is sooner recognized by plants than by men. ~Chinese Proverb. Quote: Listen, can you hear it? Spring's sweet cantata. The strains of grass pushing through the snow. The song of buds swelling on the vine. The tender timpani of a baby robin's heart. Spring. ~Diane Frolov and Andrew Schneider, Northern Exposure, Wake Up Call, 1992. Today I seen a little boy trying to fly his kite.

Stop Colds & Flu The Natural Way

I learned a lot by reading this {book} called, Stop Colds and Flu The Natural Way by Nancy Pauling Bruning . Some people can not get flu shots, if they are allergic to eggs. Quotes: Adam and Eve ate the first vitamins, including the package. ~E.R. Squibb. The best six doctors anywhere And no one can deny it Are sunshine, water, rest, and air Exercise and diet.These six will gladly you attend If only you are willing Your mind they'll ease Your will they'll mend And charge you not a shilling.~Nursery rhyme quoted by Wayne Fields, What the River Knows, 1990.

"Circle of Life" Series

I enjoyed listening and watch- ing {Tales Of Wonder I & II} Traditional Native American Stories for Children. What was really fun and interesting was to watch and listen to a storyteller, the flute being played by a musican and an artist drawing the story while the stories were being told by Gregg Howard. I really liked the stories and learned some things I didn't know about history.

Coffee Cake turn Banana Bread

Thick batter eggless coffee cake, turn banana bread by adding a banana and cooking a little bit longer in a loaf pan. I used some milk gone sour in a sour milk coffee cake recipe and it seemed a bit thick so I put a banana in it and made bread instead. Add nuts if you like. It can be put in freezer for later use. {Fried Potato Salad}
