I had made a hat b/4 from a coat. I am not one who likes to wear a long coat, so I cut part of the coat off and made a hat to match. I gave it away eventually to a Thrift Shop. I don't remember if I ever took a picture with my camera of it or not. It was the first hat I had made and I used the lining from the coat inside the hat also. If you are needing gift ideas you might give one of these patterns a try. Think of what you can refashion if you don't have any material to make one of these hats.
